Claudia Thum is excited about winning the Red Sands Potato Fest weekend prize package.  She and her husband Robert along with friends Karyn Strachan and Mark Hoover have booked their flights from Toronto and are coming to the Island to take part in Potato Fest.
"I have lived on the Island previously (in Earnscliffe) in 92/93 and have been back a few times with my husband and even Karyn. Mark, however, has never been and so I look forward to showing him around a little. We will be flying in to Moncton and driving over on Friday and leaving Sunday. We are very excited to meet Michael Smith and enjoy some Island fare. Since all four of us do our best to live the 100 mile diet and buy local, we appreciate the concept of the festival and can't wait to support it."
Claudia had her choice of several accommodations in the Red Sands region and has selected Briarcliffe Inn to be her host for the weekend.  In addition to attending all the events including the Feast by the Sea and Empty Bowls, Claudia receives a gift package contributed by various tourism retailers from the south shore.
